Using "virtual server" technology, your small web site can be delivered with enterprise quality. Our virtual servers are high powered servers capable of delivering millions of hits per day. We load several web sites on each server to reduce your costs. We never load our servers greater than 10%, so you have a 90% reserve capacity even in a shared environment. Few hosts offer that level of commitment!

Virtual services are perfect for web sites with less than 5000 visitors per day or with fewer than 100 pages. Families, small businesses, artists, students, and non-profit organizations are best suited for virtual service.

Our servers include:

• RAID 1 or better mass storage – Multiple hard drives store and serve your files. Any single hard drive can fail without stopping your web site because files are stored on at least two drives at all times.

• Unix Operating Systems – We use Sun Solaris and Linux operating systems to provide stable and secure web hosting immune to "Microsoft" viruses.

• Unstoppable power – Our data center includes battery backup and on-site supplemental power generators. A minimum of 24 hours of fuel is on-site at all times, with over a week of fuel normally ready. All generators are maintained and tested to hospital standards and are designed to continuously power the servers, data center, and cooling equipment on a continuous and permanent basis in the event of an extended power failure due to natural disaster, energy shortage, or other unforeseen event.

• Daily backups – Our servers automatically backup all site data every night. Backups are transmitted off-site so your data is available in the event of a serious emergency such as fire or explosion. In addition, we have peering agreements with multiple data centers to immediately restore web sites on new equipment in the event of a long term emergency.

• Co-location in a carrier class data center – Our data center facility is fully N+1 compliant. Physical security includes armed security personnel, cameras, fingerprint door locks, redundant early warning fire detection and suppression, and more.

• Multiple Internet Backbone connections – We have connections to multiple Internet backbones. In the event of a backbone connection failure, our servers will automatically roll over to a functioning connection and alert carrier engineers. Our connections are buried on separate sides of the data center to prevent a construction or utility accident from disabling all backbone connections at the same time.

• High speed peering – Our backbone connections are optical carrier class fiber optic connections. Our data center peering agreements allow us to deliver high volumes of data to all major ISPs in the US, Canada, and Europe. We are just blocks away from the Internet backbone and in close proximity to national and international networks.

• Engineers are on site around the clock to respond to system emergencies.

Our open DNS architecture also allows you to upgrade to your own server(s) without interruption as your business grows.
